Recipes for Buffoons!

Can't cook?  Don't sweat it - neither can I.  Despite this, we both know the best food for us is that made with our own hot little hands.  So let's get cooking.  Even if I have to come over there and hit you in the head with a frypan I'll get you to love it!

Below are some fool-proof recipes. I have not created these recipes, I have left that to the professionals, but I promise you I have cooked them, ate them and loved them, and you will too!

Is this really Cauliflower? Salad

If you think you dislike cauliflower as much as I do, then please try this!  It will happily change your opinion forever!

Quinoa Tabbouleh

So this is tasty, easy, and gluten-free.  What more do you want?!

I broke this out at a barbecue way back at Easter and even the men-folk commented on it.  They must have registered all that protein in their sub-conscious. Try it out...

Sweet and Cosy Winter Warming Soup

Need something to get you through those long cold winter days?  Then this tantalising, deliciously warming soup is for you!

Quick (and Exciting!) Chicken Pesto Pasta

This is tasty and easy - my two favourite things!   (Oh and of course healthy!).  It has lots of yummy veg and you get to use all 4 stove elements at once which does make me feel quite impressive (and my heart race a tiny bit)!  Give it a try!

Darlin' Daal

If you're trying to move towards eating more plant-based meals, then this recipe is for you! This daal is so tasty and satisfying you won't even remember what meat is!  Even my protein-craving husband didn't bat an eye.  Fancy some Daal darling?

Quinoa with courgettes and onions (or any veg really)

Quinoa is uber fashionable at the moment, and with good reason!  A complete protein, gluten-free, easy to digest, high in vitamins and minerals - those Incas knew what they were onto 8,000 years ago!

Tips for Timid (or Terrible) Cooks!

Like to cook more, but secretly thinking it takes too much time and will be stressful and complicated and either a finger or your carrots are going to end up burnt?  Then check out these top tips for timid (or terrible!) cooks!
I'm not a natural cook, as in I used to sometimes eat Weetbix for tea.

Following my illness I learned the importance of what we put in our body.  That what you eat actually becomes your body. Literally. What a revelation!

What we (the people who don't like to cook) need, is an attitude change.  Cooking creates health in our bodies.  It brings our family and friends together.  It's an adventure (literally because we have no idea what we are doing!). Its fun. And its tasty. And I want to prove that to you!

Get more energy, more confidence, more life!
